About UsCome here to play, then move here to stay!

Welcome to La Pine! We are Oregon’s newest city and the trailhead to the Crater to Crater Tour (150+-mile car tour around Newberry National Monument- from Crater Lake National Park to the Newberry Crater). La Pine Chamber supports business and tourism in all of Newberry Country! Nothing is more than 45 minutes away.

La Pine is the hub of Newberry Country and your fun starts here! Do you want to start a business or move your business to a new business friendly location? We can help you. Let the La Pine Chamber and Visitor center help you settle in our community. We have everything you need to feel right at home. Our infrastructure is in place with great water and sewer services and we have some of the Northwest’s most inexpensive electric power (Midstate Electric Coop) located in downtown La Pine. Consider our shovel ready lots for development in our business park. La Pine is open for business!

WE HAVE GREAT SCHOOLS

We have award-winning staff and sports programs and enrichment programs for students from k-12. La Pine Park and Recreation District (LPRD) has city parks, baseball fields, river trail floats available and after-school programs for all of the district citizens. Adult Education is part of the LPRD Mission and classes for adults through an agreement with our local community college (COCC).

HEALTHCARE

Our La Pine Community Health Center, St Charles Clinic and Urgent Care, dental offices and Nurse Practitioner Family Care facilities, are downtown. Our medical professionals provide services for over twenty thousand residents in our area and walk-in services are available.

We have a selection of retail and grocery stores and service businesses that include realtors, insurance, investment and financial planning and local financial institutions, US Bank, Washington Federal, Mid-Oregon Credit Union and First Interstate Bank. Most of what you need for living the good life is located here in La Pine. Locally owned Bi-Mart is here, gift stores, bakery, restaurants, Ace hardware and others are waiting to make your La Pine experience a good one!

We collaborate with the City of La Pine and our neighbors to the north, Sunriver, to provide over a thousand vacation rentals in addition to our own La Pine motels. We can serve newcomers and travelers 365 days a year. These partners add to the resort destination feel of our Newberry Country experience.

We have a strong small-town feel ranging from ranching, resort, railway, lumber and our suburban designation to Bend as Central Oregon’s metropolitan area. Come see the beauty of our outdoors. Meet the friendly people who will be your friends and employees! When you arrive, make time for our annual events like our March Crab Feed, The Frontier Days 4th of July celebration (complete with Parade and fireworks). Let the buckaroos at La Pine Rodeo dazzle you with real cowboy skills. Taste the Rhubarb at our annual June Festival. Enjoy Old Time Cars at the High Lakes Car Club Show and Shine- the list goes on and on… There is always something to do, and when you want to give back, there are nonprofits waiting for you to volunteer. When it comes to worship, La Pine offers twenty local churches ready to greet you. Once you come here to play, make plans to move here to stay!
